                     The Item                                           The Art

Fall 2004

One of my first items - A Furby.  Painting was made right around the time the Smarty Jones was all the rage, so I called him Furby Jones.  The Furby and the print went to France.

Silver Dish - I got this at a yard sale.  I liked it for some reason.  I never sold on Ebay, but it made a real interesting tile.

Volkswagen Vanagon - Wheel Covers,  seems I have a lot of car parts to part with, and they can become fascinating pieces.  Ask my friend Wayne and he will tell you I can come up with some bizarre works.

Tiger Juicer - Can you believe what kind of juice comes out of this machine?   This unit went down south with a bag of hot peppers from my garden.  Where did that Angel come from?  Or the Bell for that matter?

Alvis Art - Badge - I grew up with a vehicle as unique as my art - The Alvis Car.   This is a Alvis Owners Club Badge that went back to England.

Alvis Art - Belt Buckle  I wore this as a kid, for many years, but - the belt got too small, and the potential looked too great for this.  If you didn't know, the design in the brass is an original Alvis emblem.   The buckle and tile print went to Lancaster County PA, but I will always have the original.

Kenmore Sewing Machine - It was one happy person that got this workhorse heavyweight.  I drove it to Maryland, and while it did not end up making economic sense - I stopped by this incredible covered bridge in Cecil County.   Wrote a song, and got some great sketches which turned into several nice paintings.   Would be happy so show you, let me know.  I loved the light the machine gave me for this painting.  Click on it for more details.

Alvis Art - Radiator Badge,  Found this is an old box.  It was missing a little enamel, but I was able to fix that - for the painting that is.  As I titled the painting - Alvis, Alvis, Alvis.  Kind of fly right at you -

Bell Tel sign.  I found this in Houtman Park in Media.  It is an old enamel placard for a truck.  This driver had no accidents in ..... well longer than me.  I had no clue as to what to do with this, but I scanned the back - it had nothing on it, but somehow - it led me to the tile you see.  Don't ask.

What Do You Get - When you a 1930's Lucas Fuel pump with a 1980's VW Vanagon Air Regulator?    Something out of this world.  As of 12/03/04 neither of these items has sold on Ebay.

There were more - but this is a start.  Hope you enjoyed.
